Our trainers are in-the-trenches athletes who have channeled their passion for fitness into intensive study and hands-on education, and we're passionate about the value an experienced trainer can deliver. 

Mike Doolittle — Head Trainer, Co-Owner at Styrka

After studying exercises science at the University of Tulsa and attaining the Certified Personal Trainer credential through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2004, Mike began a personal training career that has spanned corporate fitness centers, small private training studios, online training, and locally owned community gyms. Over a decade of continuing education has allow Mike to develop specialized knowledge in mobility, core training, functional assessment, biomechanics, kettlebell instruction, and much more. His clients have ranged from white collar professionals and weekend warriors to police and firefighters, and encompassed a broad array of skill levels including morbidly obese clientele, post-rehabilitation knee and shoulder reconstruction, kids, and advanced athletes developing sport-specific skills.     If you're an aspiring fitness professional who just wants to show up for an hourly check, we are not for you. Styrka trainers are not employees, but entrepreneurs with complete autonomy to set their own schedules and design their own programming. We do not take conventional dues or fees from trainers, instead simply requiring that their clients are either members or pay the $5 day fee — both of which the trainer may opt to pay on behalf of their clients. We work to promote our trainers through our website and social media channels, but our trainers are solely responsible for acquiring and retaining their own clientele, and we do not offer guaranteed hours. Our goal is simply to provide a clean, well-equipped, professional environment in which trainers can maximize their income.  For more information or to schedule an interview, email your resume to mike@styrkagym.com.
