We're much more than just a gym

The fitness industry is more competitive than it's ever been. Massive corporate franchises lure in members with deceptively low prices, usually saddled with lots of hidden fees and upselling. Boot camps and cross-training classes promise a fun and competitive atmosphere, but rarely offer the kind of personalized attention that will ensure safe technique and expedient progress. Locally-owned gyms can offer a great atmosphere for serious lifters, but may be cluttered, dirty, and have poor quality equipment.

We founded Styrka in 2016 on three princples: strength, education, and community. We're committed to providing unrivaled equipment in a clean, uncluttered, and—above all—welcoming atmosphere that is friendly to seasoned competitors and novices alike. We offer straightforward pricing, never with any contracts or hidden fees, and our generous amenities are included in the cost of membership.

Strength

We are committed to providing our members with specialized functional equipment of unrivaled quality. At Styrka, you will not find rows of bulky, high-tech machines; you'll find the highest quality barbells, kettlebells, steel maces, dumbbells, and heavy-duty strength-building equipment. Our equipment is carefully selected for maximum multi-functionality, so we are able to provide an uncluttered layout and our members won't have to wait on equipment.

Community

We've all seen 'those people' at gyms—people who don't share equipment, who don't pick up after themselves, who use sloppy technique but refuse friendly advice, who intimidate other members, who spend more time taking selfies than training.

At Styrka, we curate our membership through an application process to ensure that our members uphold our values: to build each other up, to share knowledge, and make the gym welcoming to all.
